A dog barks
in a cage
like the bird singing
in the cage,
like those poets
engage with expression,
the leafage of aspiration
high in the sky,
like the soundless reflection on the mirror
but still a nameless and faceless
alienage.
What the dog waits for
with a saddened tail
cries for
and is longing for
the redolence and colour of vapour,
a whitened tale
of the Other,
the caged dog howls
from its bone
alone and unbeknown.
